Updated 11/24/19: This information is posted as far ahead of time as possible to help parents and students plan their schedules; it contains the most current information provided to us by the organizers to the event. It will be updated when information is provided to us.

Nominations: You will be given a permission slip with information about the trip for your parents to sign. Upon returning this signed form, you will be placed in the nomination pool. WVU will choose students from the pool according to their instrumentation needs and inform us who was chosen.

Auditions for band placement and seating order: You will submit a video recording ahead of time; band placements and seating order will be determined before you get there.

​Lodging: We will stay in a hotel Thursday and Friday night, location TBD.

Meals: Meals are NOT provided by the University and are not covered by the participation fee. You will need to bring enough money for four meals (dinner Thursday, lunch/dinner Friday, lunch Saturday - we will attempt to stay in a hotel that provides free breakfast).

Transportation: The school provides transportation from SMHS to the event and to and from meals and evening activities

Cost:
  1. Registration fee is $35. Being nominated is free; there is no charge unless you are accepted.
  2. Meals as listed above.
Donations to help cover the hotel are accepted. 

Concert Dress Code: Same as ours. Remember you can substitute black marching uniform shoes for dress shoes as long as they are clean.
